FRESCO Mobile Market

The Mobile Market will provide abundant and easy access to  fresh fruits and vegetables to communities of low income and low transportation.  

The Mobile Market will accept EBT (debit cards), SNAP - Supplemental Nutrition Assitance Program, WIC -Farmers' Market Nutrition Program, and Farm Fresh Voucher program

The market participates in

Double Dollar Incentive Program -  BWC makes healthy food more affordable by offering the SNAP Double Dollar Incentive program at the Brownsville Farmers Market and Mobile Market.   This program allows families that qualify for SNAP (food stamps) to receive up to $20 a week of matched fund.  The families will have the opportunity to purchase twice as much produce and in turn helping close the ‘Meal Gap’. (when funding is available)

Farmers Market Nutrition Program (WIC) - Women, infants (over 4 months old) and children that have been certified to receive WIC program benefits or who are on a waiting list for WIC certification are eligible to participate in the WIC FMNP. State agencies may serve some or all of these categories.  A variety of fresh, nutritious, unprepared, locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs may be purchased with FMNP coupons.

Farm Fresh Voucher Program -  Is a program that promotes the purchase of healthy fruits and vegetables by distributing vouchers to community members in need.  (when funding is available)
